Throughout the band’s
three decades of jazz exploration, the Pat Metheny Group has undertaken perhaps
its greatest artistic undertaking with 2005’s The Way Up. To celebrate the
achievement, Metheny and his stellar supporting cast of musicians have toured
the world to perform the album in its entirety. The accompanying DVD showcases
the septet rendering the masterwork live in Seoul, Korea.
