Legendary drummer Ginger Baker (Cream, Blind Faith) traveled to Nigeria in November
1971 to set up a recording studio (at which Paul McCartney and Wings would record
Band on the Run years later). Baker’s associate Tony Palmer chronicles the
trip, which confirms Africa’s endless cultural beauty and reveals the then-unkown
Fela Ransome-Kuti performing.
