& Wine is essentially Sam Beam’s alias through which he
delivers some of the most heartfelt music and emotional imagery
to come along in recent years. Drawing favorable comparisons to
Nick Drake and Elliott Smith, Beam’s eclectic sonic tapestry
spans a broad terrain with six songs. His latest EP, Woman King,
boasts the wistful “Jezebel” and “Freedom Hangs Like
Heaven.”
