The New Amsterdams
began in 2000 as a side project of Get Up Kids’ leader, Matthew Pryor, who
wanted a vehicle to create more understated, emotional material than his primary
band. Story of a Scar carries on in the tradition of their last release, Worse
for the Wear. The songs “Turn Out the Light” and “Bad Liar”
show growth and maturity. The band will perform both the South By Southwest conference
and Coachella Festival this spring.
