John Powell’s dramatic work in films such as the Bourne series continues
with his score for United 93, which tells the story of the ultimate heroic
sacrifice defeating a cowardly act of terrorism. With rumbling percussion, the
music underpins the mounting tension and anxiety. Powell’s young son also
contributes haunting vocals to the tracks, “Dedication” and “Prayers.”
