Following his work on the Fantastic Four and X-Men sequel, John
Ottman continues with the familiar territory of superhero scoring with his compositions
for Superman Returns. Not surprisingly, the composer draws liberally from John
Williams’ landmark score from the original Superman film. In many cases,
Ottman’s variations add heightened intensity to Williams’ previous work.
