Heralded Iranian musician Kayhan Kalhor partners with acclaimed Turkish musician, Erdal Erzincan to create an international hybrid of exotic sound. While Kalhor plays the kamancheh, which is a bowed stringed instrument, Erzincan performs on a baglama, which is similar to a mandolin. The album is a journey in a free-form raga cycle that continually builds throughout the recording.
