has the warm voice and sincerity of Johnny Cash and the humor of Roger Miller
(dig the lyrics of “Who’s Leaving Who?” and “Don’t Blame
The Wrong Guy”) while his back-up band gallops along with colorful work on
guitars, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and the dobro that gives drama to “There
Goes Bessie Brown.”
