The unusual concept
of this album is electronic music by Vijay Iyer as the sound bed for a mixture
of vocals and spoken word created by Mike Ladd, apparently from newscasts and
blogs. You could call it found poetry, word salad, cut-ups, or spaced-out rap.
An enjoyable example is “Jon Stewart on Crossfire” with its refrain
“Please stop, you’re hurting America.”
