Bluesman Eric Bibb
is contemporary blues with the emphasis on contemporary. His songs incorporate
folk, pop, R&B, and jazz elements and his voice is far smoother than that
of a traditional blues shouter. His lyrics however, are very much a blues thing
as he sings of his musical heritage (“Still Livin’ On”), and his
philosophy of life (“So Glad”) and the deeply felt title track.
