Blending indie
rock giants with classic singer-songwriters is apparently a formula for success
because Garden State’s soundtrack is every bit as wonderful as the
beautiful film. The inclusion of The Shins’ “Caring Is Creepy,”
Nick Drake’s “One of These Things First,” and Simon & Garfunkel’s
“The Only Living Boy in New York” are simultaneously heartbreaking
and euphoric.
