Letters From Iwo Jima (CD Milan)

The music for Clint Eastwood’s war film with a difference, written by Kyle Eastwood and Michael Stevens, mixes symphonic music with Asian touches and dramatic piano solos. The recurring themes are appropriately somber, but “Dinner Party” surprises with Mozart-like sprightliness and “Song for the Defense of Iwo Jima” features a happy chorus of children.
